It is powerful and transformative when people have a safe place to be known, process their pain, and receive empathetic support. In my work with clients, I aspire to create safe and encouraging therapeutic relationships, meeting individuals where they are and providing holistic support for their relational, spiritual, emotional, cognitive, and physiological development and functioning.
I hold a Master’s degree in Counseling from B.H. Carroll Theological Seminary and am licensed in the state of Texas as a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate. Prior to entering the counseling field, I worked as an elementary teacher. I enjoy working with children (ages 4+), adolescents, and adults.
I am trained in Child-Centered Play Therapy (CCPT) and am currently in the process of becoming a Registered Play Therapist under the supervision of Meredith Ivey, MEd, LPC-S, RPT-S, Certified CCPT/CCGPT-S. Through play therapy, children are given developmentally appropriate opportunities to express emotions, process experiences, and build emotional regulation within a safe and supportive environment.
My experience includes supporting clients of all ages through grief and loss, anxiety, identity exploration, life transitions, and a variety of other challenges. Outside of the therapy room, I love to snow ski whenever I have the opportunity.
