My name is Ashley Mokoko. I am a graduate- level internship student pursuing a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Tarleton State University. I am an active member of Chi Sigma Iota Upsilon Chapter, the National Honor Society, for my academic achievements and philanthropy efforts. Additionally, I have EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) training.
I am passionate about serving individuals who have experienced trauma. I value working with individuals of all populations while creating a safe space and being mindful of cultural and ethnic concerns.
In my opinion clients are the experts in their own life and are the best resource when it comes to treatment. I view therapy as a collaborative effort where our knowledge and skills are combined to create solutions. A good therapeutic relationship includes authenticity, respect, freedom, trust, and positive outcomes. I am elated about this experience and look forward to experiencing growth within myself and witnessing the growth of others.
