Teen Girls Group Therapy

Improve your teen’s self-esteem and sense of worth in a supportive, safe environment.

Our teen girls group explores topics such as depression, self-image, coping skills, healthy problem-solving, eating disorders and self-harm.

During the group therapy process, young women develop a support network in each other. They no longer feel isolated by their condition and gain a greater sense of normalcy. A Compassion counselor guides the group and ensures safe, healthy conversation.

Research has demonstrated that various forms of group psychotherapy are just as effective as individual sessions, with positive results across the board for a variety of disorders. Group therapy is also more cost-effective than individual treatment. When a therapist’s time is spent with an entire group instead of one person, the expense for individuals is significantly reduced while the benefits remain and, in some instances, prove to be even greater.

Benefits of Teen Girls Group Therapy

  • Decreased feelings of isolation
  • New coping skills
  • Heightened sense of community
  • Improved social skills
  • Increased ability to express thoughts and feelings
  • Cost-effectiveness

Is Group Therapy Right for My Teen?

Is Group Therapy Right for My Teen?

Our teen girls group provides an environment in which teens know they are not alone, no matter what circumstances or feelings they may be experiencing. They are able to walk through the healing process together. Group therapy offers tremendous benefits, but it is not for everyone. Some issues are better handled one-on-one than in a group setting. For example, teens who struggle with antisocial disorders, psychotic episodes or other disorders may not benefit from group therapy.

Your first 15-minute phone consultation is free. Give us a call today at 817-723-1210, and we will confidentially discuss your teen’s needs to discover whether group therapy might be beneficial.
